Health and Safety Advisor

Our Client based in Central London are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their housing team as soon as possible.

This is a full time, permanent role based in Southwark offering Hybrid working and a salary of £41,600 per year.

The purpose of the role is to support the health, safety, and facilities team to build and engender a culture of health, safety and well-being.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be supporting the Health, Safety and Facilities Manager in delivering health and safety programmes and targets in accordance with the organisations strategic plans and building and maintaining the safety management system.

Responsibilities:

Specifically, this will involve delivering part of our internal audit programme, developing, and delivering our health and safety training programme, managing the accident and incident reporting process and undertaking investigations where necessary, compiling suitable reports and action plans and engaging with a wide stakeholder group on health and safety management and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH or NCRQ certificate or equivalent H&S qualification or appropriate membership of a professional institution
  • Graduate level education or qualified through experience
  • Qualification/training/experience in training or learning
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Experience of working with staff and managers at all levels on health and safety issues
  • Experience in social housing sector is desirable
