We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Temporary Stores Person / Warehouse Operative at our client's new facility in Southampton. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in warehouse or stores, and an interest or experience within a boat building environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage inventory and ensure accurate stock tracking.
- Assist on the shop floor and with the storeroom setup.
- Operate forklift trucks (FLT) around the shop floor to manage materials and products efficiently.
- Receive goods and monitor stock levels of shop floor provisions.
- Perform general yard upkeep and maintenance.
- Assist the Stores Manager with additional duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in a similar role - warehousing / stores / boats/marine
- Proficiency in managing inventory and operating forklift trucks.
- Basic IT skills for managing inventory systems.
- Forklift license is essential.
- Handyman skills for general maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools.
