JOB – Quality Engineer
LOCATION - Dorset
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
A great company, the UK's largest in their field, is looking to bring on a Quality Engineer to come and join their team. The ideal candidate will champion product & process quality whilst providing support to Manufacturing facility to help achieve quality objectives and reduce COPQ.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A Quality/Engineering or similar Degree / HNC / NVQ or equivalent work based experience.
- Experience and knowledge of Lean measurement tools such as 8D, 5Why's, Ishikawa, DMAIC, Internal Auditing etc.
- Knowledge or experience in with PPAP, ISIR and Supplier Quality Assessments
- Ability to use own initiative and work as a team when needed.
- Relevant experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment would be beneficial but not essential.
- Proficient with use of Microsoft packages
- Full Driving License
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Carry out Root Cause Analysis and report activities.
- Use of PPAP and coordinating the completion within the business.
- Review how effective supplier corrective actions are and support the relevant team in the analysis of Quality Inspection.
- Provide support in key NPI projects whilst ensuring Quality conformance.
- Carry out supplier Quality improvement activities.
- Continually look for ways to improve processes and procedures to attain the greatest levels of quality and efficiency (continuous improvement).
- Ensure that ISO9001 requirements are being met across the business.
- Facilitate the successful completion of the internal auditing programme.
- Reduce the cost of poor Quality and meet the Quality standards by providing support within the Manufacturing facility.
