As the Virtual School Education Coordinator for Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 3, you'll be at the heart of ensuring that children in receive the support, attention, and high-quality education they deserve.
You will:
- Champion the educational progress of children in care, working directly with schools, teachers, and carers to improve outcomes.
- Monitor and track educational achievements for each child, ensuring Pupil Premium funds are used effectively and advocating for resources that matter.
- Provide expert guidance to social workers, foster carers, and educators to raise awareness about the importance of education for children in care, and support them in being the best corporate parents.
- Lead on exclusions and transitions, ensuring every child is supported through the most challenging moments in their school life.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A degree and enhanced DBS (required)
- Experience in education, youth work, or social care, with a strong understanding of the education system and how to improve outcomes for Looked After Children.
- A natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and a talent for building strong relationships across teams and services.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset, and the ability to manage conflicting demands and deadlines while maintaining high standards.
