Cheif Engineer

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for coaching and guiding team of engineers to deliver project outcomes within the industrial / manufacturing industry. The role requires advanced technical understanding, leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Description

Responsible for leading research and development, feeding into future product design for manufacture,

Develop technical specifications for new high technology production equipment.

Create and present Capex business cases to achieve the company stratergy.

Conduct factory acceptance tests.

Run projects from initiation and proof of concept to production release within budget.

Oversee Manufacturing project tasks and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Monitor project status, managing risks and potential delays.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Coach and mentor team members.

Contribute to the department management team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Manage the value stream budgets.

Profile

A successful Lead Engineer should have:

  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Process Mapping, and PFMEA methodology.
  • Skilled in writing equipment technical specifications and conducting SAT.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis, capability studies, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
  • Strong skills in drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experienced in leading Design for Manufacturability/Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA)
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Knowledgeable in risk management.
