Catering Assistant

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation for catering events/ school meals.
  • Set up and break down event spaces, including tables and chairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering equipment and supplies.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of food.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Ability to Commute.

Skills:

  • Previous experience in a school hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations(preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • food and hygiene certificate(must have, can be completed through the job post)

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • school catering: 1 year (preferred)
  • Catering: 1 year (not essential but nice to have)
