Sales Team Leader - Cultural / Adventure Tour Operator

Our client is looking for a dynamic Sales Team Leader to drive the performance of their Travel Consultants. This role focuses on coaching, inspiring, and motivating the team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.

Sales Team Leader - What Will I Be Doing?

  • Team Performance: Leading a team of up to 7 Travel Consultants to convert inquiries into bookings.
  • Opportunity Maximization: Ensuring each client inquiry is optimally managed and efficiently handling complaints.
  • Team Culture: Creating a supportive and motivating environment for office-based, hybrid, and remote team members.
  • Training and Development: Delivering training sessions and embedding effective learning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Using data to identify and implement performance improvements.

Sales Team Leader - What Experience Do I Need?

  • Sales Experience: Extensive background in sales, preferably in travel.
  • Complaint Resolution: Strong skills in resolving complaints in line with the "Sales as Service" approach.
  • Coaching Skills: Proven ability to mentor and guide team members to reach their potential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to quickly build rapport and effective relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Versatile communicator, adept at addressing various audiences.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Teamwork: Strong understanding of team dynamics.
  • Destination Knowledge: Familiarity with destinations like Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Borneo is advantageous but not required.

What Else Do I Need to Know?

This business is lovely to work for - the product, team and offices are all phenomenal. They are ambitious and growing fast. Ideally you will be based 2 days a week in the office but they may possibly consider remote if you have experience of working in a similar role for a travel company and have experience of managing a travel sales team remotely. Hours are Monday to Friday 9 - 5.30pm

Competitive salary c£32K - £35k plus a performance-based bonus of c£6,000.

25 days of annual leave, increasing annually up to 28 days, plus a birthday off and volunteering leave.
