Our client is a family run business established over 100 years ago, specializing in furniture and flooring. They are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Furniture and Flooring Salesperson to work Tuesday to Saturday 9am - 16.30pm.

The Retail Sales Assistant will be involved in:
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients visiting the showroom
- Guiding customers through the selection and purchase process
- Initiate customer interactions using the existing database and actively engage with potential customers.
- Manage customer orders from sale to delivery, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Manually handle heavy furniture and flooring products in the showroom, including receiving deliveries and maintaining warehouse inventory.
- Collaborate with the business owner to develop effective sales strategies and promote best-selling products.
- Schedule flooring measures at customer residences for our flooring estimator.
- Assist with marketing and social media campaigns as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer records and ensure the showroom is well-presented at all times.
- Occasionally assist with customer deliveries, working alongside the delivery team.
The Retail Sales Assistant will have:
- Strong customer handling skills and the ability to adapt product offerings to meet customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of furniture and/or flooring sales preferred, but outstanding candidates with sales experience in other areas will be considered.
- College-level education preferred
- Proficiency in email, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and familiarity with e-commerce websites
- Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
