Rate - £700 a day (Outside IR35)
Duration - 3 Months initially
Location - London

You'll need to be comfortable leading a large change project with a significant sourcing element. You'll be responsible for defining the opportunity and delivering this change as part of wider resourcing programme. You'll be coordinating project teams within a larger programme and ensure that they are collaborating effectively and working towards achieving our objectives. You'll also be responsible for identifying and managing issues or risks within a programme and assessing the benefits of the proposed change.

You'll be reporting to our Head of Flexible Deployment and will be expected to represent the project at various governance forums including presenting to executive team members on a regular basis. You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across the organisation. You'll be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and astute at managing conflict and competing priorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering the programme.
  • Creating a plan for the programme and assessing and resolving any potential issues while ensuring it meets its set milestones.
  • Managing the programme's budget and adapting it according to any changing requirements.
  • Being responsible for ensuring the project follows the appropriate governance and representing the project at the governance forums.
  • Appointing team members to different projects and ensuring they met deadlines.
  • Allocating skills and resources to different segments of the overall programme.
  • Managing and overseeing any third-party contributions to the programme and ensuring they align with the goals.
  • Liaising with stakeholders.
  • Managing the connections between projects.
  • Planning appropriate management actions if issues occur or there are any gaps within the programme that need filling.
  • Comfortable writing written reports and developing written specifications for the service with inputs from stakeholders.

You'll have to meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Experience of managing a large and complex project - desirably with a significant sourcing component, including an Invitation To Tender process.
  • Beneficial if you hold a Prince2 qualification or APM.
  • Demonstrate experience managing risks and issues and communicating the impact to relevant stakeholders.
  • Have strong prioritisation skills and able to effectively manage expectations.
  • Have strong written and verbal skills and be able to adapt your style for your audience and build great working relationships with your stakeholders.
  • Exceptional influencing skills, particularly at a senior level.
  • Superb problem-solving skills, using data and insight to create recommendations and drive improvements.
  • Experience of developing business cases, including financial modelling.
