Building Maintenance Coordinator

- Working Hours: 8am - 5pm, Mon - Fri
I am looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Building Maintenance Coordinator to join a busy team in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for a problem solver who can think on their feet and is comfortable both behind the concierge desk and ensuring the building is well-maintained. The position offers flexibility in terms of part-time or full-time engagement and has the potential to become permanent.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct regular checks of emergency lighting systems, water and boiler temperatures to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Act as the first point of contact for tenants, handling reports of leaks and other maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a presence at the concierge desk, providing reception-type services such as greeting residents and taking calls.
- Perform walk-throughs of the building to ensure common areas are kept tidy and up to the required standards.
- Utilise problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues efficiently, reducing the need for external support.
- Work independently, providing guidance and support to other team members as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive and able to work autonomously.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
- Experience in building maintenance or a similar role is advantageous.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
