Payroll Clerk

Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a large business in Leeds who are looking for a Payroll Clerk to join their established team. You will be a part of a team processing end-to-end payroll for monthly and weekly paid staff. This role will be a part-time or a full-time permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Issue P45s and third-party requests
  • Check absence and holidays recorded are correct
  • Reconcile payroll accounts towards monthly and year-end audits
  • Reconcile the payroll, ensuring data is accurately processes
  • Process expenses and costing
  • Process starter, leavers adjustment and updates to contractual terms
  • Integration of SSP between different working patterns
  • Process manual pay adjustments
  • Adjust timesheets to adhere to contractual terms
  • Assist with current projects
  • Escalate payroll related queries
  • Fleet data recording for P11D preparation
  • Assist with general accounting duties

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of two years payroll experience (desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Confident dealing with verbal and email queries
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of statutory payments, NMW and Auto Enrolment
