We combine excellent customer service across a wide range of roles including Security Services, Facilities, Office Management/Coordination, Administration, Front of House, Concierge, and much more with a discreet and vigilant security service.

  • Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday (Days)
  • Pay Rate - £45,000 per annum
  • Weekly Hours - 40 hrs per week
  • 3 or more years of safety related work experience in property/facilities management

STARS Manager ensures the safety and protection of customer's people, property, and information always, in a knowledgeable, professional, and service-oriented manner, ensuring an unobtrusive and comfortable environment. STARS Manager's are the recognised central point of contact for all operations, delivering a smooth and seamless execution throughout the premises.

About the Role

  • Safeguard the physical security of the site and ensure personnel and asset access compliance.
  • Daily management of 3 staff members
  • Manage Security team in the responsible region
  • Security training and oversight
  • Security of personnel/control of workplace violence
  • Participation in regular inter-professional meetings in the region
  • Participation in regular cross-regional meetings of the security professional line
  • Communication with Data Center operators and other vendors
  • Security Operations Centre ("SOC") Incidents Response
  • Management of security-related projects in the region
  • Security risk prevention, emergency response to security incidents
  • Security during special business periods
  • Assist in emergency situations
  • Provide timely and accurate information
  • Respond appropriately to varying and fast changing priorities
  • Promote data center on-site operation and maintenance, facilities and other related teams to land the physical security management system.
  • Through training, drills and tests, improve the safety awareness and safety skills of the on-site safety team in order to meet the requirements of each position and guarantee the physical safety of the site.
  • Through the daily security patrol, the machine room security status of the full amount of inspection, timely detection of risks and hidden problems, and promote the rectification of the closed loop;
  • Major activities and events are guaranteed to ensure the effective implementation of all control measures during the event.
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day work of security officers.
  • Manage the on-site security team.
  • Management of security teams for multiple DCs in the region.
  • Overseeing the scheduling and attendance of security guards to ensure that there are no absences or slacking off.
  • Plan for unexpected staff absences.
  • Receive relevant requests and instructions from headquarters and clusters.
  • Reporting of security incidents for the week and status of handling in the area of responsibility.
  • Seek support from Headquarters or the cluster for specific incidents.
  • Be aware of special events in other regions and check if your region has the same problems or risks
  • Assist security guards in handling suspicious and unidentified items (e.g. letters, parcels, briefcases, etc.) and other irregularities.
  • Assist security in investigating suspicious persons and/or suspicious incidents.
  • Respond to threats and violent incidents and, if necessary, take appropriate measures.
  • Participation in regular inter-professional meetings in the region.
  • Attendance at weekly cross-team meetings organized by each Region's Data Center Manager, including IT engineers, Facilities engineers and Asset engineers.
  • Oversee the induction of new security officers and conduct appraisals.
  • Conduct regular assessments and drills for security officers to ensure the quality of their work.
  • Communicate and deal with security officers who fail the assessment accordingly

  • Exceptional Customer service skills
  • Computer literate
  • 3 plus years of safety related work experience in property/facilities management,
  • Relevant capabilities in human and technical defence for security management and emergency response
  • Flexible, professional attitude
  • Reliable and customer focused with a commitment to exemplary service
  • Adept at working under pressure
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and oral
  • Proactive, discreet and motivated
  • Extremely well presented
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Self-aware and motivated
  • IT Literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages including outlook and office
  • Full-time college or equivalent qualified and above (preferred)
