Customer Interaction Strategy Consultant Org Design & Project management

Based in GB, our International Customer Interaction (ICI) department plays a pivotal role in solidifying our position as a leading retailer. We collaborate with local teams across 10 countries, fostering a global network dedicated to developing and delivering exceptional customer capabilities.

At the forefront of ICI is our Customer Strategy team. This team works to:

  • Define and execute a CI strategy that is based on the latest insights, engaging with stakeholders from all markets to set a clear vision, defining objectives and milestones, and communicate direction to all relevant teams.
  • Facilitate the development of detailed implementation plans through operating working groups, and make sure that these all combine to achieve our strategic objectives.
  • Work with our Global Strategy Office to ensure that our CI strategy aligns to overall business strategy.
  • Lead and support strategic projects that result in delivery of the overall strategy and associated targets

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Strategy Consultant focused on developing effective strategy processes and local CI organisational structures. The role will be based at our Tamworth office.

The ideal candidate will be a strong, forward-thinking professional with an approachable but assertive presence in the working environment. Expertise in operating model design and corporate strategy is required. Previous experience of this in a grocery retail environment would be advantageous.

Your new role:

Strategic Development:

  • Identify strategic opportunities within the business that can support the delivery of the CI Strategy and associated targets.
  • Lead and deliver strategic projects.
  • Continue to monitor strategy and project implementation progress, through collaboration with the relevant national and international teams, including building a clear picture of the commercial and operational performance of the relevant parts of our business.

Organisational Design & Operating Model Development

  • Identify any changes required to Aldi's Customer Interaction organisation and operating model required to enable the strategy.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure organisation and operating model changes are aligned and implemented.
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the organisation and operating model by tracking key performance indicators and adjusting based on ongoing evaluation and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Coordinate supporting activities, including working with financial modelling and research teams, to monitor the performance and implementation of new or adapted Organisational structures.
  • Design and implement new processes to support new or adapted Organisational structures.
  • Prepare comprehensive updates for senior management and committees.
  • Collaborate as required with relevant stakeholders, teams, and working groups to ensure a consistent and clear understanding of Organisational structures, develop responses to unexpected events, and answer specific requirements from senior management.

Process Design & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement a continuous improvement culture by regularly reviewing and refining processes based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs.
  • Identify potential risks associated with process changes and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Lead change management activities throughout the business.

About You:

  • Experience in organisational design principles and best practices
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to drive topics forward
  • Ability to multi-task on various projects
  • Working in team environments – being a team player
  • Working with ambiguity and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Ownership and maintenance of strategic documentation that will be discussed and used by senior stakeholders
  • Creation or ongoing development of business processes, organisational designs and change management
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and high growth environment, ideally within ecommerce/retail/grocery/tech
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with the ability to quickly understand new software
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills

What You'll Get In Return:

  • Salary starting from £52,985 rising to £61,030
