This Specialist Cleaning Technician position is working for a company in the Portsmouth area. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. The role is paying a salary up to £23,795 depending on experience. The role does require travel to customer sites. Overtime is available at 1.5x and if overnight stay is required, there is an overnight payment.
As a Specialist Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out specialist cleaning, servicing, and repairs of tanks, bilges, and compartments in accordance with company quality procedures and environmental policies. You will manage waste and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing tasks such as high-pressure jet washing and confined space operations using appropriate PPE. Additionally, you will maintain high cleanliness standards, understand and execute risk assessments, and assist service engineers as needed. You will also be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues, manage PPE and company equipment, and undertake various duties such as fire sentry and confined space sentry duties. Effective communication with customers and key company personnel is essential, and ongoing training will be provided to enhance your skills and knowledge.
You will need:
- Experience operating Vacuum Tankers to remove liquid/waste
- Experience setting pumps to remove liquid from ship
- Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment and high/hot pressure washers
- A strong understanding of Confined Space Working
- A driving license is preferable
- To be able to pass an Alcohol and Drug test, as well as gain Dockyard Security Clearance.
