Job Title: Warehouse Picker Packer

Location: 160 Dalston Lane, London E8 1NG

Salary: £22,308.00 per annum

Job Type: Full time and Part Time positions available, Permanent

Assistive Solutions specialises in supporting individuals eligible for Disabled Students' Allowances within higher education.

We are a Social Enterprise that works with disabled people, providing specialist computer equipment, 1-1 teaching and have an in-house software development team.

Key Duties:

Stock Management:

  • Work with the Logistics Administrator by checking the items, making sure they are correct, in saleable condition and the correct amounts.
  • Raising any issues through relevant channels.
  • Helping with unloading courier vans.
  • Moving the items to the relevant location. May require the use of a pallet truck or pallet lift.
  • Ensure stock is constantly worked, ensuring that stock is packed effectively, and space is used efficiently.
  • Help with regular stock takes and random stock checks.

Picking and Packing:

  • Using the picking list and then picking the relevant items (by Item number or description).
  • Passing the Build Team the relevant equipment for builds.
  • Checking items on the Picking slip are all correct and the correct quantities have been picked, marking them off to say they are ready to be shipped, or marking them as not available if they are missing.
  • Packing all the items in a box or bag with packaging making sure they are secure and ready for transit.

Order Dispatch:

  • Loading shipments for DPD, ensuring all shipments for the day are dispatched.
  • Ensuring relevant paperwork is completed.

Other General Duties:

  • Restocking shelves.
  • Tidying up of the warehouse area, emptying bins and sweeping the floors.
  • Tidying up of the courtyard area, emptying bins and sweeping the floors.
  • Empty the cardboard storage into the recycling bins.
  • Answering the doors/shutters for deliveries and to other members of staff.

About you:

The successful candidate will be the/have the following:

  • Comfortable working with your hands
  • Good communicator
  • Familiar with working stock and stock management - preferred
  • Punctual, hardworking and a team player
  • Attention to detail
