We are seeking a highly skilled IT & Infrastructure Engineer to join my clients existing IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multisite networking, server and desktop hardware, and a wide range of enterprise IT solutions. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation, security, and optimisation of the businesses IT infrastructure.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multisite networking (40 Cisco switches)
- Oversee PC and enterprise-grade server hardware, including Dell desktop/laptop and HP server hardware
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (70 servers, 50 virtual and 20 physical) and Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/11) across 200 desktops and laptops
- Maintain and manage Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
- Implement and oversee Microsoft Windows patch management and Ivanti patch management solutions
- Utilise VMWare vSphere for virtualization and Veeam for backup and recovery
- Administer Citrix XenApp and Citrix NetScaler environments
- Manage NetApp Storage Area Network and Veritas backup products
- Ensure network administration and security, leveraging tools such as McAfee Endpoint Security/CrowdStrike, Cisco Duo MFA Solution, and Watchguard Firewall and Wi-Fi solutions
- Oversee mobile security and Apple iOS device management (Jamf / IBM Mass360)
- Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise systems including HP printers, Unify telephone system, Paxton Net2 access control, Mimecast email security, Hikvision CCTV, and recording solutions
- Conduct enterprise monitoring and logging, and manage Qualys inventory and vulnerability/detection management
- Utilize Microsoft SQL Server for database management
- Implement and support SignNow e-signing software
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructure environments
- Proficiency with Cisco networking equipment and campus networking
- Strong knowledge of PC and enterprise-grade server hardware
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere
- Experience with backup solutions like Veeam and Veritas
- Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, Citrix NetScaler, and NetApp SAN
- Competence in network administration and security solutions
- Experience with endpoint security, mobile device management, and enterprise monitoring
