Site Manager

Job Description:

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will manage site operations, coordinate with subcontractors, and lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the site, including health and safety, quality control, and progress monitoring.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage site staff and subcontractors to ensure high standards of work and productivity.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is carried out according to design specifications and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Manage site resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and labour.
  • Handle any issues or challenges that arise on-site, resolving them promptly to avoid project delays.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably within the house-building sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an HNC/HND in Construction Management or equivalent.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS card are essential.
  • First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
  • Full UK driving license.
