Are you a Head of IT ready to join a forward-thinking company to lead cutting-edge technical strategies and innovations?

Absolute Recruit is exclusively representing a dynamic, globally recognised business currently undergoing an exciting digital transformation. They are seeking a Head of IT with extensive experience in cloud technologies, network technologies, enterprise storage, and business intelligence.

In this role, you will develop and execute the company's technical strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and market trends. A key part of this role involves working alongside digital partners to develop and implement their e-commerce strategy, making experience in an e-commerce business (or a retail business with an online presence) essential.

In addition to a competitive salary, the business offers a collaborative culture, life insurance, a season ticket loan, staff discounts, modern office facilities, an excellent holiday allowance, flexible working hours, social events, and exceptional food allowances (free breakfast, cooking classes, and more!).

The successful Head of IT will possess the following attributes:

  • Commercial experience in a similar role, with preference given to candidates with relevant sector experience.
  • A deep understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
  • A strong grasp of network technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, FortiGate, Palo Alto Firewall, or similar.
  • Exceptional project management skills, comfortable with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software licensing, solution architecture, and enterprise licensing schemes.
  • Experience managing small internal IT teams (1-5 members) and external vendors, with the business currently supported by an IT MSP.
  • Experience implementing and developing advanced reporting capabilities (ideally with tools such as Power BI or Tableau).
  • Experience in businesses with both online and physical presences (stores, venues, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • The position will report to the Director of Operations and will be the senior point of contact for IT within the business. The company operates both online stores and physical venues across the UK, and candidates with this experience are highly desirable (e-commerce experience is essential for this position).

Due to the collaborative nature of the role, requiring communication with various teams and stakeholders, the successful candidate will need to commute to their London office 2-3 days a week.

Key skills include: Head of IT, Group IT Manager, IT Director, AWS, Azure, GCP, Cisco, Networking, Firewalls, Enterprise Storage, E-Commerce, Solution Architecture, Data Management, Data Analysis, Power BI, Tableau, Project Management, Business Analysis, etc.
