This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Community Engagement to join a fast-paced, expanding organisation.

As the Head of Community Engagement, you will lead the transformation of this care home into a vibrant community where each resident feels valued, connected, and inspired. Initially this role will be based in Norwich and will be responsible for rolling out and overseeing these principles to other care homes across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Your leadership will be crucial in implementing innovative lifestyle and community engagement strategies that will set new benchmarks in senior living.

Objectives of this Position:

  • Continuously enhance both the physical setting and the service quality to improve residents daily lives
  • Develop and maintain a vibrant calendar of social, cultural, and recreational activities that cater to a wide range of interests and promote social interaction among residents
  • Forge meaningful partnerships with local businesses, cultural organisations, and educational institutions that can offer valuable services, activities, and support to residents.
  • Actively participate in local events, engage with media, and enhance the care homes reputation within the community
  • Work closely with the Marketing Executive to highlight the unique aspects of St Johns House
  • Sponsor and participate in local events, showcasing the facilities amenities and services
  • Manage the delivery of excellent dining and personal services tailored to residents needs and preferences.
  • Oversee comprehensive health and wellness programs, customised for each individual resident.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Proven leadership experience in healthcare or hospitality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to design and implement engaging activities and programs that enhance resident experience.
  • Experience in building and maintaining community partnerships and engaging with local media and public relations.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives and ensure their successful execution.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a positive approach.

  • Salary of £55,000p.a. (depending on experience)
