We are currently seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join our educational team in the Hounslow area of London. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality maths education and making a positive impact on students' learning experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to students with varying abilities, ensuring that each session is accessible and productive.
  • Assess individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans to monitor and track student progress.
  • Provide targeted support to students requiring additional help, through one-on-one or small group sessions.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Collaborate with other educational staff to plan and coordinate educational activities and resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the maths curriculum and best teaching practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in mathematics, education, or a related subject area.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on maths.
  • Experience in delivering functional skills maths curriculum to a diverse range of learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational trends.
