Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting for an established manufacturing organisation based in the Swanley area of Kent. On their behalf, we are looking for a Shift Technician. The Shift Technician will be part of a small team performing all customary mechanical activity, including PPM and reactive work, during their conventional shift pattern, obviously with great emphasis on machine efficiencies and productivity.
This role would suit someone with a mechanical background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to machine failures in a timely manner and record any corrective actions in shift logbook.
- Liaise with supervisors and members of other departments to plan machine maintenance.
- Complete planned maintenance and report any follow up work and parts used.
- Assist contractors on site when carry out services/inspections.
- Change machine parts as and when production planning requires different products.
- Adhere to safe working procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Have mechanical experience ideally in a production environment.
- Experience in fault diagnosis of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Analytical approach to fault identification
- Safe use of electrical hand-held power tools
Hours of Work:
Week 1
Mon/Tue 6am-4pm
Wed/Thu 6am-2pm
Fri 6am-12pm
Week 2
Mon/Tue 2pm-10pm
Wed/Thu 12m-10pm
Fri 12pm-6pm
(Rotating weekly)
Holidays:
25 days + Bank Holidays
Pension:
Starting at 4% matched contribution and can be increased and matched up top 8% after 6 months in the job
