The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe scheduling/execution of logistics and dispatch operations. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute dispatches, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage receipting, unloading, and preparation of goods for dispatch.
- Maintain dispatch area cleanliness and efficiency.
- Handle and verify delivery paperwork and invoicing.
- Schedule safe and cost-effective nationwide logistics operations.
- Communicate with customers and sales representatives about freight details.
- Operate a forklift, ensuring safe loading and material placement.
- Supervise and coach the team, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Report unsafe practices, equipment maintenance needs, and customer complaints.
- Contribute to company objectives, participate in training and meetings, and comply with policies.
Person Specification
- Experience: Dispatch processes, supervisory role, and using MS Office.
- Knowledge: Construction methods, health and safety, legal regulations.
- Certification: Forklift Truck Certification C/B (in date and regularly used).
- Skills: Excellent communication, self-driven, results oriented.
- Attributes: Identify training needs, willingness to participate in development opportunities.
