Senior Transport Project Manager (12 Month FTC)
Location: UK/Hybrid with UK Travel
Package: £70,000 - £85,000
This global distributor is on an incredible change journey and a key part is the transformation of the development of their Transport network.
Due to this, we're looking for a Senior Transport Project Manager, who will be responsible for taking the Transport operation through this transformation. You'll have a broad remit, leading on Transport Strategy covering service, cost, delivery proposition, transport planning/network design, new tenders and technology implementation.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK but will require regular travel to sites.
What will the role entail?
- Assess, design and deliver the Operational Transport Transformation Project. Focused on improving cost, service, delivery proposition and delighting our customers
- Manage and review our existing transport contract, analysing commercials and service performance
- Partner closely with procurement to lead on new tenders for transport contracts across all distribution channels.
- Review existing fleet and transport operation set up, including fleet profiling and delivery proposition
Key skills and experience required?
- Excellent Transport Knowledge with experience leading on national projects incl network design and fleet profiling
- Track Record of leading on new transport tenders and identifying optimum delivery models
- Experienced in transport technology selection and implementation, ideal if you have experience in TMS/ Transport Planning systems.
- Excellent influencing, negotiating and strong project management skills
