Logistics/Procurement Manager

Our client, an award-winning business in their sector is seeking a Logistics/Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team. As a Logistics/Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth supply chain management and efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor stock levels and forecast needs, advising on restocking
  • Manage stock acquisition, raise purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics for timely deliveries
  • Choose efficient and cost-effective transportation for shipments
  • Work with the Finance Manager to plan payments and maintain cash flow
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships across regions
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation, including Operations, Warehousing, Finance, and more
  • Identify new suppliers to improve cost, sustainability, or environmental impact
  • Maintain accurate records on the system
  • Update procedures and best practices for team use

General Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively, provide feedback, and treat everyone with respect
  • Keep orderly records and travel as needed for supplier visits or events
  • Pursue professional development and complete ad hoc tasks
  • Follow company policies, health and safety rules, and promote Corporate Social Responsibility

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain or Procurement Management qualification (desirable)
  • Experience with global logistics (sea, rail, air) and team management.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and customer-focused approach.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Resilient, adaptable, organised, and strong in communication.
