Reed Financial Services are seeking a Paraplanner to join a team, providing essential support to the Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). The role involves writing technical suitability reports for clients, conducting whole of market research, and ensuring that all client investments are managed effectively and in line with Consumer Duty Principles.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Write detailed and technical suitability reports for the firm's IFAs to present to clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research using tools such as FE Analytics, O&M Pension Profiler, Assureweb, and Firm Due Diligence.
  • Efficiently manage and utilise the relevant CRM system for client information and interactions.
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing application forms, illustrations, cover letters, and sign-up packs.
  • Conduct thorough file reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Handle platform-related tasks, including setting up clients, arranging payments, and managing switches with tax implications.
  • Ensure clients' investments are managed correctly and in accordance with Consumer Duty Principles.
  • Engage in client contact as required, providing high-quality service and support.
  • Assist with Investment Committee project work and undertake ad hoc project work as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar role within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using financial research tools and CRM systems.
  • Excellent report writing and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering the right outcomes for clients, adhering to Consumer Duty Principles.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with clients when necessary.

Benefits:

  • Standard working hours: 9 am - 5 pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • 21 days holiday, increasing by 1 day per year of service, up to a maximum of 28 days.
