We are an Independent Specialist Post-16 College in Sittingbourne, providing specialist supported education and training for young people with learning difficulties of small class size of 6-8 learners. We are looking to develop our construction curriculum area further and are looking to appoint a new member of the team who can inspire and provide both knowledge and the skills needed for our learners to be able to successfully move into employment within the construction industry. This fantastic opportunity will allow you to be a part of a specialised SEN college for young people with SEND, and to develop the Multi Skills and bricklaying programmes, which includes separate workshops offering Multi-Skills, Carpentry, Brickwork, and Heating and Plumbing.
To be successful in the role we are looking for someone who can:
- Motivate and support learners with SEND, ASD and SEMH
- Develop and deliver outstanding lessons
- Produce high quality programmes of study in all areas of the construction area, including, planning, development, teaching and assessment, schemes of work and quality.
- Conduct demonstrations and supervise practical work to reinforce learning
- Act as an academic and pastoral tutor to learners
- Train and engage learners on a range of topics and tasks relevant to the awarding body In return we can offer you:
