HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for a Noise & Vibration Specialist to work on HS2, with the opportunity to represent a large scale construction company, who are at the forefront of construction throughout the UK and Europe.

The role will be focused on implementing noise & vibration investigations, assurances and assessing compliance requirements within the Construction Environmental & Sustainability function.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assurance of all construction noise and vibration deliverables.
  • Investigations and responses in respect of noise and vibration complaints/incidents.
  • Assessing compliance with Environmental Minimum Requirements, S61 consents, Undertakings & Assurances and relevant contract technical requirements.
  • Offering and arranging noise insulation or temporary rehousing for properties which are eligible (and take up the offers).
  • Providing evidence in relation to construction noise and vibration for verification, validation and technical assurance reviews.

Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Corporate Membership of the Institute of Acoustics.
  • Organised, proactive and adaptable.
  • A sound understanding of noise and vibration Environmental Impact Assessment process, environmental legislation, impact mitigation and dealing with statutory authorities.
  • Practical experience mitigating construction noise and vibration from major infrastructure schemes.
  • Experience of managing construction noise and vibration risks and their impacts in terms of time, costs and reputation.
  • Understanding of the benefits of working collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the project
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience.
