What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering resources with business goals.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to ensure timely technical support for customers.
  • Guide and support Specialist Engineers in overcoming challenges and finding innovative solutions.
  • Ensure projects comply with company standards and UK/European legislation (ATEX, PLSG, API, EEMUA).
  • Assist Specialist Engineers with project scopes and act as a technical expert during tender reviews.
  • Help develop budgets and forecasts for projects.
  • Liaise with various teams on standards and codes.
  • Assist in supplier selection following relevant procedures.
  • Create work schedules and monitor project progress.
  • Deputize for the Engineering Director as needed.
  • Serve as Duty Manager for emergencies on a rotating basis.

Where will you be doing it?

Our client specialises in fuel storage and distribution and they're looking for a Technical Engineering Manager, reporting directly to the Engineering Director.

In this role you'll lead and support a team of Discipline Specialist Engineers who serve as key technical authorities within the company. They provide essential technical expertise for multiple projects and engineering works, primarily across various UK sites and internationally, with additional development opportunities as they arise.

What will you need?

  • Degree qualified, ideally within an engineering related field.
  • Experience working in a COMAH regulated industry and in a leadership role.
  • Full UK driving licence.
