The Role as an Area Manager:

  • Manage multiple locations effectively, ensuring smooth operations and consistent performance across all sites.
  • Take charge of profit and loss management, budgeting, sales forecasting, and other important performance indicators to drive financial success and make strategic decisions.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with head office and key stakeholders to ensure collaboration and overall company success.
  • Lead and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results in service, standards, and operational excellence.
  • Implement effective recruitment practices to attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits, focusing on regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Support company events, local marketing initiatives, and celebrate successes to contribute to positive brand image and growth.
  • Develop and influence your team at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and professional development.

Area Manager Requirements:

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Extensive background in retail, leisure, or hospitality management within a customer-centric environment, highlighting your ability to deliver exceptional service.
  • At least 2 years experience in managing multiple sites and the teams and performance of them sites.
  • Proven track record in a managerial capacity, exemplifying effective leadership skills, adeptness in HR and performance management, and the ability to drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders in various digital and in-person settings.
  • Possess a collaborative mindset, valuing teamwork and displaying genuine enthusiasm for the retail industry, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license, as this role necessitates travel by road, rail, and air. Occasional overnight trips may be required when single-day travel is impractical, ensuring your flexibility and adaptability.
