Position: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Contract: Full-time, Long Term

Pay Rate: 100 plus.

Role Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a critical role in supporting students with behavioural difficulties. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Exclusion Unit Support: Working directly with students in the exclusion unit, providing one-on-one and group support to help them reintegrate into the mainstream classroom.
  • On Call Duties: Responding to urgent behavioural issues within the school, offering immediate assistance to students and staff to manage and resolve conflicts.
  • Intervention Strategies: Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to address specific behavioural issues, working closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Mentorship: Building positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor to guide them towards better behaviour and improved academic performance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of incidents, interventions, and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, counselling, or a related field are desirable.
