Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a growing construction business in the search for an experienced Buyer, with a focus on the electrical requirements of the business. The experienced Buyer will be expected to undertake a full range of purchasing activities focussing on achieving the best possible commercial outcome that achieves value for money and service.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Issuing enquiries and drawings to potential suppliers and obtaining quotations.
- Placing and progressing purchase orders.
- Initiating, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with existing, and new, suppliers.
- Negotiating with suppliers and communicating effectively to proactively avoid potential conflicts and promote best purchasing practice.
- Collate and summarise data in order to assist the Regional Director with monthly reports.

- Experience of operating successfully in a construction or blue-chip environment
- Ability to effectively manage a team
