Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a growing construction business in the search for an experienced Buyer, with a focus on the electrical requirements of the business. The experienced Buyer will be expected to undertake a full range of purchasing activities focussing on achieving the best possible commercial outcome that achieves value for money and service.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Issuing enquiries and drawings to potential suppliers and obtaining quotations.
  • Placing and progressing purchase orders.
  • Initiating, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with existing, and new, suppliers.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and communicating effectively to proactively avoid potential conflicts and promote best purchasing practice.
  • Collate and summarise data in order to assist the Regional Director with monthly reports.

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience of operating successfully in a construction or blue-chip environment
  • Ability to effectively manage a team
  • Professional and pro-active individual with a real desire to go above and beyond for the business
  • Experience negotiating to obtain the best outcome for the business
  • Always willing to continuously improve and adapt to changing situations with resilience.
