The Role

Burman are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our public sector organisation based in Birmingham. This is a pivotal role within their Human Resources & Organisational Development team, where you will work closely with senior leadership and various departments to drive strategic HR initiatives that align with our organisational goals.

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing expert HR advice and support, ensuring that HR practices are integrated into the business and that all HR strategies, policies, and processes support our mission of delivering outstanding public services. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation by enhancing employee engagement, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring compliance with public sector regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic HR Support: Partner with senior management to understand business needs and provide HR solutions that align with organisational objectives.
  2. Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations issues, providing advice and support to managers and employees, and ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.
  3. Talent Management: Support the implementation of talent management strategies, including succession planning, workforce planning, and career development initiatives.
  4. Change Management: Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the workforce.
  5. Performance Management: Guide managers through the performance management process, including appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
  6. Policy Implementation: Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across the organisation and are aligned with public sector standards.
  7. Diversity and Inclusion: Promote and embed diversity and inclusion within all HR practices and throughout the organisation.
  8. HR Projects: Lead and contribute to HR projects that drive organisational improvement and enhance employee experience.
