Management Accountant

This position requires a meticulous Management Accountant who will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management within the business. The role is based in Harlow and involves maintaining financial records, processing payments, and developing monthly financial statements.

Description

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Detailed costs and revenue drivers
  • Process and manage tax payments
  • Organize and support internal and external audits
  • Support budgets (for the entire company and by department)
  • Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential System and processes
  • Analyze financial trends
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes
  • Develop and present monthly financial reports to senior management.
  • Process payments and track expenses and revenues.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to develop and implement financial systems and processes.
  • Use accounting software to accurately record, store and analyse financial data.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

  • Studying their professional accounting qualifications - either ACCA or CIMA
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar financial role within a relevant sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
