My client is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Support Engineer to enhance their established Quality team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and optimising there IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Maintenance: Manage and maintain server infrastructure, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • New Computer Setup: Handle the setup of new computers, both digitally and physically, as required.
  • User Support: Address general IT queries from company users, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Cybersecurity: Assist with the maintenance and renewal of Cyber Essentials/Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.
  • SharePoint Administration: Oversee SharePoint administration, ensuring efficient and secure information management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with existing IT staff and external IT service providers to implement improvements and streamline operations.
  • Team Assistance: Support the team with any technical questions or issues that arise.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relationship Management: Strong skills in relationship management, with the ability to engage and negotiate effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Project Management: Ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Resilience: Self-motivated and able to perform well under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: A solid technical background in IT is essential.

Education & Experience:

  • Qualifications: A degree in Computer Forensics is desirable.
  • Certifications: CompTIA certification is preferred.
  • Academic Background: GCSEs (Grades 5 to 9 / C+ to A+) and A-levels in both Maths and English.
  • Value Addition: Demonstrated ability to add value, reduce costs, and provide insightful business improvement advice.
