An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join a national leading construction consultancy, based around the Norfolk area.

The Building Control Surveyor Role

As the Building Control Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and quality of projects. You will be responsible for conducting site inspections, reviewing plans, and providing technical advice to clients and project teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects across Norfolk, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed site inspections to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Review and approve plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
  • Carry out risk assessments and advise on construction safety.
  • Liaise with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage your own portfolio of projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Keep up to date with changes to Building Regulations and construction legislation.

The Building Control Surveyor

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a construction-related field.
  • Membership or working towards membership with RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
  • Proven experience in building control or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
