**Band 6 Biomedical Scientist
**6 months of NHS experience mandatory

End Date: 3 months from start date
Days/Time Required: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Microbiology, Saint Richards Hospital
Pay Rates: £21 - £23 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic microbiological testing, including bacteriology.
- Analyse and interpret laboratory results to provide accurate data for clinical decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Participate in the training and supervision of junior staff and students.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
- State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience in microbiology, specifically bacteriology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
