Job Title: Restaurant Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager on behalf of our esteemed client, a prestigious private member's club located in the Knightsbridge area.
Purpose:
To ensure the smooth operation and profitability of the Member's Dining Room within set budgets, while maintaining high service standards and providing personal contact with members and guests.
Hours of Duty:
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday. Very rarely weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.

Responsible For:
Food and Beverage operations within the Member's Dining Room
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and ensure Dining Room staff adhere to the same high standards.
- Uphold the club's standards regarding conduct towards members and other staff.
- Adhere to the Club Rules and By Laws at all times, ensuring the security of club contents and assets related to the Dining Room.
- Implement Health & Safety policies, ensuring the well-being of members, guests, and staff, and understand fire policy and evacuation procedures.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Ensure the standard setup of service in the Dining Room is consistently monitored and aligned with club standards.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure profitability, focusing on staffing levels and costs.
- Develop the dining offerings to cater to the diverse needs of club members.
- Balance member and commercial activities during busy periods.
- Provide guest feedback to the Head Chef and Operations Manager.
- Maintain high presentation standards in the Dining Room before, during, and after service, including regular deep cleaning.
- Produce departmental sales and revenue reports as required.
- Maintain and review food and beverage gross profit, investigating discrepancies to align with budgeted levels.
- Manage beverage stock, ensuring correct levels and cost monitoring in coordination with the Operations Manager/Stock Controller.
- Monitor the club's wine and whisky list, considering member requests and industry trends.
- Maintain and update the club's Electronic Point of Sales and stock systems.
- Assign and review projects and targets for Management Trainees in the Dining Room.
- Organise training courses for staff, aligning with their needs and club objectives.
- Participate in financial and budget planning for the Food and Beverage department with the Operations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations in collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development.
- Recruit and train new staff members as needed in collaboration with the Operations Manager and HR Manager.
- Implement disciplinary procedures for Food and Beverage staff when necessary.
- Be familiar with utility services and procedures for fire and burglar alarms.
- Assist with specific tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
