Role Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Worcester, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring that our residents receive excellent service and that their homes and communities are well-maintained, safe, and thriving.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents in understanding and adhering to their tenancy agreements, handling tenancy changes, and dealing with breaches of tenancy conditions.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and communal areas to ensure they are maintained to a high standard, identifying and addressing any health and safety concerns.
- Provide a responsive and effective service to residents, addressing their concerns, offering advice, and signposting to other support services as needed.
- Foster positive relationships within the community, promoting community involvement and supporting resident groups.
- Manage and investigate reports of anti-social behaviour, working closely with residents, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, inspections, and actions taken, using our housing management systems.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a housing management role is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents and stakeholders.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across Worcester
