Role Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Worcester, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring that our residents receive excellent service and that their homes and communities are well-maintained, safe, and thriving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents in understanding and adhering to their tenancy agreements, handling tenancy changes, and dealing with breaches of tenancy conditions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties and communal areas to ensure they are maintained to a high standard, identifying and addressing any health and safety concerns.
  • Provide a responsive and effective service to residents, addressing their concerns, offering advice, and signposting to other support services as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships within the community, promoting community involvement and supporting resident groups.
  • Manage and investigate reports of anti-social behaviour, working closely with residents, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, inspections, and actions taken, using our housing management systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a housing management role is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and best practices.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across Worcester
