Finance Manager
We are recruiting for a talented Finance Manager to join an owner managed business, based near Maidenhead, in a stand-alone accounting role. The role would be ideal for an accounting professional who has worked within an engineering, manufacturing or servicing environment, but we will consider other sectors.
This is a full time, office-based role that will manage the accounts department, supporting the continued success of the business.
As the Finance Manager, your responsibilities
- Production of monthly management accounts
- All aspects of bookkeeping
- Liaising with the management team to ensure the smooth functioning of the business
- Producing VAT returns
- In-house payroll production for a small team
- Employee expenses
- Production of daily cash reports
- Year-end accounts production
- Liaising with auditors
- Consolidation of group accounts
- General finance duties as required
- Liaising with suppliers and Credit Control
- Dealing with utilities, insurances, company contracts and other administrative duties
Ideal skills, experience and attributes:
- Demonstrable accounts and finance experience gained within a similar role
- Formal qualification isn't essential for this role; however, you will be qualified by experience
- Be able to work independently and comfortable in a collaborative team environment
- Have good general IT skills and accounting software experience - Sage would be ideal
- Excellent communication skills
