Key Responsibilities

  • Helpdesk Hero: Resolve helpdesk requests swiftly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee daily backup processes, and support Microsoft Desktop & Server Operating Systems.
  • Tech Troubleshooter: Monitor and support our Windows 2016 Hyper-V environment, and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Hardware Guru: Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and various printers, including thermal printers.
  • Critical Support: Be ready to respond to out-of-hours support issues, ensuring our systems run smoothly around the clock.
  • Project Planner: Assist in planning and relocating IT equipment during different trading periods.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience troubleshooting Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of Office365 administration and management.
  • Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure).
  • Ability to troubleshoot networked devices, such as PCs, laptops, and printers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of a Windows Server environment.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL administration and backup processes.

Other Requirements

  • Driving License: A current driving license is necessary as you may need to provide on-site support at various times and travel to other sites occasionally.
  • Health & Safety: Commitment to safe work practices and cooperation with health and safety protocols.

Working Hours

  • Standard 40-hour week with potential for additional hours during peak periods (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Easter).
  • Out-of-hours support will be required on a rota basis, with an allowance paid for this coverage.
