PMO Lead - Fast Growth Law Firm - City of London (Hybrid Working)

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Change & Transformation, you will be responsible for the governance, monitoring, reporting of projects / programmes and overseeing resourcing within the IT Project function. This role will be the main point of contact for other areas of the firm that generates requests; managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that initiatives from across the firm are triaged and considered against their existing portfolio of work.

This is a great opportunity to shape, influence and define the governance and structure of the PMO; plotting a structured road map of projects and the resources required, and helping to build and shape the IT project function.

Some of the responsibilities

PMO Strategy & Development:

  • Support with designing and implementing a comprehensive PMO framework, including standardised processes, methodologies, and templates.

  • Maintaining project management best practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.

Project / Progamme Management & Support:

  • Support project managers, programme manager and wider support groups, such as our Legal Operations and Innovation teams in providing coaching and guidance on best practices.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless project execution.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project reporting / dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Collating necessary information for PMO meetings and supporting the Head of IT Transformation & Change with these meetings.

Change Management & Adoption:

  • Partner with IT Projects leadership to drive PMO adoption across the firm and champion a culture of project management excellence.

Skills & Experiences Required

  • Experience gained within a PMO function ideally within a legal or professional services environment
  • Strong experience gained supporting projects and programmes, using a variety of frameworks and approaches (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Proven track record of delivering effective/ streamlined procedures within the context of an IT project function
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to effectively use and present data to assist evidence-based decision making and drive accountability
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail

£50-55k Base + Annual Bonus & Benefits

2 days a week in Brand new City of London office
