Our visitor centre and spaces for hire are set in the heart of our working factory with over 100 years of history where poppy wreaths are still made today, and just minutes from the beautiful Richmond Riverside.
We are now looking for a Factory & Warehouse Supervisor to join us on a fixed-term contract, working 20 hours per week from 12:30 - 17:30, Monday to Thursday.

The Role
As our Factory & Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the production and warehouse operations at The Poppy Factory meet the highest standards.
Working closely with the Production Manager, you will supervise a team that includes veterans with health conditions and disabilities, guiding them through daily production operations and managing materials and stock levels.
You will also be instrumental in planning and delivering the annual Field of Remembrance, collaborating with the Director and volunteer production staff to ensure its success.
Additionally, you'll support the Production & Facilities Manager with all aspects of the warehouse and associated operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
About You
To be considered as a Factory & Warehouse Supervisor, you will need:
- Experience of working as a member of a management team, exercising discretion and taking corporate responsibility
- Experience of staff supervision, evaluation and monitoring performance
- Experience of organising and managing contractors and external service providers
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practical implementation of safe working practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of planning, people and budget management
- An understanding of confidentiality and data protection
