S ite Operations Manager -Huntingdon- £40k -£45k p.a + benefits. As Site Operations Manager you will take full responsibility for the successful leadership and management of the Cross Dock Centre, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency whilst maintaining a safe and legal transport operation. Transport Manager CPC is desirable.

This role will be based at our cross dock in Huntingdon - PE29 7EF.

The Role

As Site Operations Manager you will take full responsibility for the successful leadership and management of the Cross Dock Centre, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency whilst maintaining a safe and legal transport operation.

40hrs per week

  • O Licence holder for the site
  • Ensure a safe and legally compliant Cross Dock and Transport operation
  • Exemplifies the company's values and behaviours
  • Ensure operating plans, fleet, equipment and resourcing levels meet demand
  • Customer focused, ensuring all colleagues understand the impact their role has on customer service; managing performance to improve NPS.
  • Ensures all operational processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure operations meet and exceed defined operational metrics and standards
  • Managing budget responsibility to ensure financial targets are met
  • Be an inspirational leader communicating consistently and at all levels
  • Provide innovative solutions to continuously improve performance
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure end to end Cross Dock optimisation
  • Coach and mentor the team building talent and succession plans
  • Ensure objective setting and performance reviews are in place for all colleagues
  • Identify operational improvements and implement change effectively

What we are looking for

You will have a proven track record in a customer centric logistics operation as a Warehouse or Transport Operations Manager.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Transport Manager CPC desirable but not essential.
  • An effective leader with an organised and methodical approach to leading change
  • Commercially astute and can demonstrate effective budgetary management
  • Can demonstrate process management skills and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Effective communication style and ability to influence at all levels
  • Effective resource planning skills and the ability to improve team performance
