Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Credit Controller to join our team in Dalkeith. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts receivable, ensuring that all credit is handled effectively and in a timely manner. You will work closely with the finance team to oversee credit control processes, monitor overdue accounts, and maintain accurate financial records. Experience in credit management and strong attention to detail will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Communicate with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities, including correspondence with clients.
- Reconcile accounts and handle invoice queries in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reduce aged debt and improve cash flow.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in credit control or a related finance role is essential.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
