Job Title: School Catering Assistant
Location: Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells
Salary: £11.44 per hour, enhanced rates at weekends.
Job Type: Full time and part time hours
About Us: This School is a vibrant and inclusive school committed to providing a nurturing environment for our students. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team and help deliver nutritious and delicious meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with the school's menu and dietary requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure all food is stored and handled safely, following health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with the setup and clearing of the dining area before and after meal times.
- Support the catering team in managing stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is desirable.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is essential or we can put through a dbs check.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing high-quality service.
