Mortgage Completions Officer

As a result of continued rapid growth and the need to help a growing number of intermediary partners, there is now an opportunity for an experienced mortgage completions professional to join our team.

The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week working from home and 2 days (typically Monday & Thursday) with the remainder of the team in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. The office is a 7 minute walk from Bletchley station (on London Euston / Watford / Birmingham route), or parking is available.

As part of a small but dynamic team, you will manage the offered pipeline in order to facilitate timely and smooth mortgage completions. This is involve regular communication with the finds disbursement team, solicitors, intermediaries, sales and underwriting teams.

We are looking for someone with current experience of the mortgage completion process in the UK as well as excellent administration, computer literacy, telephone communication skills and an ability to work well under pressure.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Actively manage the post offer pipeline by identifying completion dates and chasing them through to successful completion.
  • Monitor post offer pipeline to ensure expired offers are appropriately extended or withdrawn, and that expired valuations are reinstructed.
  • Action all enquiries relating to Completions promptly, efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
  • Sign off loan conditions as appropriate and where necessary refer to underwriters to obtain sign off.
  • Pro-actively, seek out pending conditions in post offer pipeline and arrange for early satisfaction prior to receipt of Certificate of Title.
  • Take ownership of urgent completions, liaising with all stakeholders to achieve best customer outcomes.
  • Produce daily / weekly reports to sales, ops & finance teams on status of post offer pipeline.
  • Deliver a first-class proactive customer service through inbound and outbound communication by telephone & email to all case stakeholders including introducer's, service suppliers, reference providers and occasionally applicants.
  • Build a thorough understanding of the products offered by the Firm, its lending strategy, credit risk policies, and processes.
  • Ensuring a high level of accuracy of data entry and ongoing record keeping.
  • Supporting the processing team and underwriting peer group in delivering an excellent, compliant service with prompt and accurate decision at each stage of the process.
