Environmental Services Working Cleaning Supervisor FTC - The Filigree Get Living

Purpose of the Role

As a Working Cleaning Supervisor within the Workforce + team, you must be able to work safely and efficiently, follow safety procedures, and work well as a team or independently.

The primary purpose of the role of a Working Cleaning Supervisor is to undertake cleaning and supervisory duties of the cleaning team across the landlord areas of the scheme and tasks may include, toilet, office, kitchen, receptions, communal staircases and corridors as well and supervising the waste and external cleaning team.

This position requires a close working relationship with public, support staff, management and the Get Living Premises in Lewisham d to ensure the service delivery exceed expectations.

You will be a high energy employee, presentable and have the ability to communicate, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment.

You will be proactive, with the ability to manage your own daily tasks with a "hands on" approach. You will have the ability to act decisively with an uncompromising eye for detail; to ensure the property and surroundings are immaculately presented, safe and secure throughout your working times.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks (this list is not exhaustive however should you be asked to undertake ANY task outside the below please contact SMR Area Manager to confirm it can be undertaken, competences and that the appropriate H&S, SOPS, risk assessments and training are in place)

  • To supervise the current team of cleaners ensuring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the The Filigree Lewisham premises and maintaining the effective running of the team.
  • To be aware of the conditions associated with the cleaning of the The Filigree Lewisham premises relating to the The Filigree Lewisham premises / site users and to work to the appropriate Health and Safety rules and processes.
  • To use the appropriate equipment, materials, tools and machinery to ensure the job is done effectively.
  • Cleaning duties will include the cleaning of common areas (staircases and corridors), offices, toilets, kitchens, receptions and external areas or as directed and trained (this list is not exhaustive)
  • To report any damage / defects to the appropriate person.
  • To liaise with site staff, supervisors and line managers as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:

Essential

  • Successful track records of delivering a working supervisors services.
  • Experience in the provision of working supervisors services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
  • Able to demonstrate a good level of customer service.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
  • Honest and reliable work ethic.
  • Well presented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to partake in further on-site training.

Desirable

  • Basic Knowledge of H&S legislation.

Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent motivational skills
  • Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility
  • Experience of Working Supervisor within the retail environment
  • Working knowledge of Working Supervisor equipment/machines
  • Must have a flexible hands on attitude
  • Flexible attitude towards shifts patterns required to meet the needs of the business
  • Aptitude to remain clam under pressure
  • Ability to communicate across all levels with a sound understanding of diversity in the work place

Working Hours - 40 hours per week – Working in the main Mon to Fri however must be available as required for weekends as required

Salary - £14.25 per hour
