Polish Speaking Accounts Assistant

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for processing supplier and sales invoices, reconciling supplier and customer statements, and preparing payment runs
  • Manage cash flow and reconcile bank balances/reports
  • Perform monthly accounting routines, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Produce accurate monthly overheads reports (MI) and variance analysis
  • Support accurate forecasting and budget creation and adherence, as well as the production of monthly management accounts board pack
  • Support all internal and external audits and queries resolution
  • Double entry bookkeeping, Excel spreadsheet management and strong ERP system
  • Control the handling of supplier invoices on a daily basis, ensuring matching to purchase orders and delivery notes. Distribute supplier invoices for authorisation to various departments.
  • Control monitor and review outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are filed accurately and timely.
  • Answering suppliers' phone calls and resolving queries
  • Reconcile supplier statements Assist in the general reconciliation process on a monthly basis Prepare purchase ledger payments and ensure cheques are sent in accordance with company policies.
  • Control and process all credit card and petty cash payments
  • Assist in the preparation of reconciliation including Balance Sheet reconciliations Assist in the writing up and posting of cash books.

Skills:

  • MUST BE FLUENT IN POLISH due to supplier relations
  • Extensive and detailed knowledge of an accounts department
  • Understanding of cash book and purchase ledger and its workings
  • Knowledge and understanding of the processes involved
  • To have a high level of numeracy
  • To have excellent people skills and be able to communicate at all levels
  • To be able to work within a team
  • To be pro-active.
  • To be able to generate own ideas and develop others' ideas for the continued advancement of the department.
  • Excellent general I.T. skills
  • Well organised, with good administrative skills

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
  • Friday 8am to 2pm
