A leading London Insurance company are currently expanding their technical capacity and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team.

The world of Tech within Insurance is not standing still and this role is key for someone who is looking to keep up with new trends.

You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust, scalable, and efficient systems that drive our business forward. This role demands a deep understanding of software development principles, a passion for technology, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products.
  • Utilize frontend technologies such as HTMX, React, or Angular to create intuitive user interfaces.
  • Develop backend services using Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
  • Implement object-oriented programming and test-driven development (TDD and BDD) practices.
  • Apply agile software engineering practices to ensure iterative and incremental development.
  • Experiment with and adopt new technologies and methodologies to improve development processes.
  • Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Incorporate Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles in software architecture.
  • Leverage modern software techniques including integration patterns, microservices, and containerization.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience in configuring and developing complex software solutions.
  • HTMX/React/Angular
  • Python
  • AWS or Azure
  • DevOps
  • Deep understanding OOP / TDD / BDD
  • Solid understanding of agile software engineering practices.
  • Awareness of modern software techniques such as integration patterns, microservices, and containerization.
