Macildowie Executive are working with an industry leading organisation to recruit their next Group People & Culture Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturing business with a strong presence across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
About the Organisation
Our client is a well-established company with a workforce of over 2000 employees. They are seeking a Group People & Culture Director to lead their HR strategy and drive cultural transformation and project agenda across their diverse business portfolio. Whilst this role is not a Board position, it does offers the chance to shape the future of their people and culture while collaborating with an energetic and forward-thinking executive and divisional leadership team.
Role Overview
In the role of Group People & Culture Director, you'll business partner divisional Directors, being instrumental in developing and implementing people strategies and projects that align with the company's goals. You'll be leading a capable and dedicated HR team in driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, productivity and organisational profitability.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of HR Business Partners and HR Advisors. Oversee job descriptions, performance appraisals, KPIs and bonus schemes.
Strategic Development: Create and execute people strategies that support the company's objectives. Collaborate closely with the Executive Board and senior leadership team to tailor approach for each brand/division whilst achieving Group objectives.
Culture Leadership: Foster and drive a cohesive culture across the group. Ensure that cultural initiatives align with the company's core values.
Compliance & Improvement: Maintain high standards of compliance with employment laws and regulations. Continuously update policies and procedures to ensure best practices.
Innovation & Engagement: Lead the rollout of new staff intranet and rewards systems, enhance employee engagement, embed leadership training and manage other key HR projects efficiently such as graduate schemes, productivity dashboards etc.
Ideal Candidate
Manufacturing context: Demonstrated success in a senior HR role with deep knowledge of employment law and people management within a manufacturing or engineering context. Experience managing large teams and driving cultural change is crucial.
Strong Leader: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a capable team to deliver impactful strategic objectives.
Strategic Thinker who loves the practical application: Capable of balancing strategic planning with day-to-day HR operations, ensuring things that enhance productivity get done.
Cultural Fit/Add: Alignment with the company's entrepreneurial values and culture.
Location Flexibility: Ideally based in the Midlands, with the ability to travel to Northern Ireland monthly and other sites as needed.
